For nearly 48 years, the One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating of Pompano Beach team has provided expert ac and heating services to the Pompano Beach community. This tradition will continue under the leadership of new general manager, Jeremiah Vazquez.

Vazquez brings over 15 years of industry experience and as a Florida native, he understands the needs of Floridians when it comes to keeping their home cool and dry throughout the year. From his start in vocational school to a service manager and now General Manager, Vazquez has grown his expertise from the ground up. Born in Chicago, IL, Vazquez moved to sunny South Florida as a young teenager. He built a great network of friends and colleagues as he established himself in the HVAC world. His hands-on experience in the industry has paved the way for him to step into this new role and continue to grow his passion for teaching and helping others.

Get to know more about Jeremiah and his start in the ac and heating industry:

Question: Why did you choose to pursue a career in the HVAC industry?

Answer: I attended vocational school because HVAC intrigued me as it encompassed a combination of the big 3 regarding home services; plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. I have always been drawn to the sciences and realized that I could “Nerd out” with the physics, psychometrics, and mathematics involved to become a well-rounded technician— while still satisfying my extroverted side and the natural tendency to want to help people.

Q: What did you learn about yourself through your career?

A: Throughout my career, I discovered I had the heart of a teacher and loved doing that just as much, if not more, than being a technician and hero to my clients when they needed me. I quickly ran up the ranks from install to service and eventually to Service Manager. And I also spent time teaching for the Florida ACCA program at Palm Beach State College.

Q: What’s something you enjoy about being a leader?

A: One of my favorite aspects of leadership is developing leadership within others, relationship building, leading by example, and a true desire to help people in our organization and community.

Q: How did you end up at One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating?

A: After 12 years working for a local contractor and over 15 years in the industry, I was presented with an opportunity to join this fantastic organization. I hope to bring my passion for serving the community, love of teaching, and strong desire for excellence to my new role. I am excited to be a part of Authority Brands and my new One Hour Family.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

A: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and enjoying the performing arts, as well as embracing the outdoors and travel. Some of my favorite past-times include fishing, hiking, bowling, and learning new skills.
