Clockwork, Inc. Donates Over 2,000 Remote Control Hummer Trucks to Toys for Tots

Add spreading holiday cheer to the list of home services provided by Clockwork, Inc., one of North America’s largest providers of heating and cooling, plumbing and electrical services.  Clockwork, Inc. announces the donation of over 2,000 over-sized remote control Hummer SUV toys to the U.S. Marine Reserves Toys for Tots Campaign, to be distributed on December 8.

Branded with Clockwork, Inc. franchise logos for Mister Sparky®, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® and One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating™, these sturdy plastic remote control Hummer SUVs stand knee-high to an adult and carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail value of $160.00. These toys are currently for sale at local franchises and company-owned stores, but the executive management team at Clockwork, Inc. decided that offering these toy trucks to Toys for Tots would be a wonderful way to brighten the holidays for children who otherwise might go without.

“We sell these toys through our local locations and they’ve really been a hit. Kids like to pretend that they’re a Mister Sparky® electrician, Ben Franklin plumber or One Hour HVAC serviceman,” explained Chris Leach, vice president of franchise operations. “But we’ve also been finding that many families are continuing to struggle in this challenging economy. At Clockwork, we’re all about services that keep families comfortable in their homes. So it only makes sense to team up with a charity dedicated to bringing joy to so many deserving families at a time when it can really mean so much to them.”

Working with a core team of select franchise owners and company-owned stores across the US, Clockwork, Inc. will distribute over 2,000 toy trucks to Toys for Tots in 14 major metropolitan areas including Houston, TX; Nashville, TN; Orange County, CA; San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis, MN; Lancaster, PA; Phoenix AZ; Sarasota, FL; and Tampa, FL. As part of making the Toys for Tots its lead charity for the holidays, all Mister Sparky®, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® and One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating™ contractors nationwide have committed to collecting brand new toys for the drive while representatives are on site for scheduled service calls.
