One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning® of Lee's Summit is proud to announce a new partnership with the Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity. Steve and Denise Kurtz, owners of One Hour, have served the Lee’s Summit community since 2005 and are thrilled to be able to utilize their company to help those in need in the community.

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity has been serving low to moderate income families in the Eastern Jackson County community for the past 25 years with safe, decent, affordable housing solutions. Habitat’s model is a “hand-up” and not a “hand-out” program, in which they select families based on need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner with the Habitat affiliate. Families are required to contribute 350 sweat equity hours toward their home and pay a 0% mortgage on the home back to the Habitat affiliate so they can continue to sustain their mission in the community.

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning will be partnering with the Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity as a gift-in-kind partner. In-kind partners make contributions that reduce the cost of projects and ultimately to the family, thereby helping with the affordability factor.

We are thrilled and thankful about the partnership with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning and their support of an in-kind gift to our latest home project. This donation will help provide a safe, decent and affordable home to a new Habitat homeowner, a mother of four who has two boys and two girls. Mom works for a company that cleans commercial buildings and has been in this line of work for the past 10 years. She is currently renting a two bedroom duplex that does not provide for a healthy future for her and her children.

We look forward to a long partnership with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, as we continue to help families break the cycle of poverty through reduced utility costs and healthy living, and enable them to contribute to a more vibrant community.
