The holiday season is a time for giving, and at One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating, we're thrilled to announce our 10th consecutive year of sponsoring the annual 98.5 KLUC Toy Drive. Hosted by the Chet Buchana Morning Show team, this heartwarming initiative has become one of Nevada's largest toy drives, providing unwrapped toys, bicycles, and monetary donations to support local families in need.

A Tradition of Giving Back

For over two decades, the Chet Buchanan Show on 98.5 KLUC has dedicated itself to a remarkable cause. Year after year, they invest their time and energy into encouraging donations of new, unwrapped toys, bicycles, gift cards, and monetary contributions to support families in need within the Las Vegas community. During a 12-day span (11/30-12/11), host Chet Buchanan resides atop a scaffolding platform in the NV Energy parking lot, descending only on Day 12. This unique initiative attracts listeners, celebrities, musicians, businesses, and thousands of locals who gather to assist Chet and contribute to the growing collection. Our mission, day by day, is to connect with the community on a personal level, recognizing the collective effort to aid families impacted by the evolving economy.

The 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Morning Show Toy Drive has become the largest event of its kind in Nevada and earned recognition as the most extensive single-location toy drive in the United States. For 24 years, this extraordinary endeavor has been a testament to the power of community coming together to make a significant difference in the lives of those facing challenges during the holiday season.

Pedaling into Generosity: Bikes for a Cause

Our team eagerly anticipates this event each year, and we're proud to have played a part in its success for nearly a decade. One of the highlights of our participation is our commitment to collecting and purchasing bicycles for the Toy Drive. To kick off our collection efforts, we donate a new bike for every new HVAC system purchased during the drive.

This year, we collected a total of 252 bikes, beating last year's contribution by 54 additional bikes. Our team also comes out for the big drop-off of our bikes and to assist where needed. We look forward to continuing this event for years to come and continuing to grow our donation of bicycles.
