One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating of Houston to Donate Proceeds to Camp Hope – PTSD Foundation of America
July 31, 2020
One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating of Houston will be donating funds from every system sold to the PTSD Foundation of America between August 1, 2020 through October 31, 2020.
The PTSD Foundation of America at Camp Hope in Houston, TX is a facility offering a safe and healing environment for veterans and their immediate families. In addition to the temporary housing offered on-site, Camp Hope offers programs with different group and individual sessions with certified combat trauma mentors to assist with personal healing. The staff at Camp Hope also helps veterans with job placement, coordinating with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, transportation to appointments, and more.
After retiring as a Sergeant Major from the United State Marine Corps in 2016, Jimmy Sanchez was asked to take the lead for all veteran hiring initiatives at One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating of Houston. While learning more about different veteran organization, Sanchez came across Camp Hope and the work being done there.
“I spent time researching the values and goals of Camp Hope,” tells Sanchez, General Manager. “That is when I learned a fellow Marine with whom I had served with was seeking help through Camp Hope.”
Since 2016, the team at One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating has provided HVAC services at the facilities on-site at Camp Hope. Services include installing complete air conditioning and heating systems, performing routine maintenance, repairing systems and more at no cost to Camp Hope.
“Each summer, we choose a local organization doing great work in the communities that we serve,” explains Sanchez. “Camp Hope provides resources to assist veterans who may not have had the success they were looking for through traditional VA programs.”
Over a three-month period, August 1 – October 31, One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating will be donating $100 from every complete air conditioning and heating system sold.
“By donating funds, we hope to bring awareness to our service men and women who are battling PTSD,” says Sanchez. “We are glad to partner with Camp Hope in this initiative while we continue to meet the needs of our One Hour customers.”
