Service to Our Country

Francis Pass
I am so proud of my service for this country. I served in the Army 3 years active duty. September 1966 thru September 1969. I was deployed to Vietnam May 4th, 1967 and served with the 11th ACR, (Armored Cavalry Regimnet). C Troop, May Rth, 1967 thru May 4th, 1968. I'm sure it's part of the reason we believe so strongly in respecting your time and freedom. We've talked about that in many of our radio ads. But ... since we're both here right now ... what does freedom mean? We got on that topic here at the big yella shop the other day.
Now, I’m no expert, but here’s what freedom means to me: Freedom means I can do and say what I please as long as it doesn’t hurt you or your family. Freedom means a fella can burn a flag, and I have to let him no matter how hard I want to sock him in the eye. Freedom means one young fella sleeps in until noon while another mans a .50 cal atop a Humvee outside Kabul. Freedom means apple pie and ice cream … or apple pie and bacon … you get to choose. Maybe that’s it.
Maybe that’s what freedom means. You get to choose how things affect you. No matter how hot it gets. No matter how dark. In this country. In this wonderful country. You get to choose how things affect you. At Pass One Hour, we choose to be on time. Or you don’t pay a dime. That’s another thing about freedom and choice. Our actions should have consequences. Don’t you think? It’s simply the price of freedom. What does freedom mean to you? Please feel free to let me know.
I’m Francis Pass. Thanks for visiting.
