Food Drive
September 28, 2016
Every fall, we collect food donations from our customers and employees for the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center. This organization houses 50 residents each night on their campus – 30 men and 20 women. In addition, they operate a transitional housing program for 16 homeless veterans and a permanent supportive housing program for 8 chronically homeless individuals with disabilities at their West Lane facilities. This year they are embarking on a new journey allowing them to serve more people in need in our community by managing the Winter Shelter Program. Winter Shelter temporarily houses approximately another 70 individuals a night during the coldest months of the year by partnering with community churches.
The JCOC also serves community dinners 365 days a year and offers food assistance through multiple programs. Feel free to drop any donations off at our Production Road location or, if you have scheduled service, our technicians will gladly collect your donation and bring it to our office for delivery.
