Our Story
For over 45 years, our company has been proud to call Charlotte our home. In 1971, Dan King Sr. started the company as a one man, one truck operation. After Dan King Jr. joined the company in 1985, the company expanded from 2 employees to 20 over the next 10 years.
In 1995, Mike Fowler joined the team. Under Mike and Dan Jr's direction, the company began to focus more heavily on residential repair and replacement services. Together, they grew the company to over 80 employees by 1999.
Today, One Hour and Benjamin Franklin are still locally owned and operated by Mike Fowler and Tommy Rea Jr. Mike’s son, David Fowler joined the company in 2018 to keep expanding in the Charlotte area.
We believe that good service and integrity are paramount to building a strong company that will stand the test of time. By keeping our promises to customers, employees, vendors, and stakeholders, we have built long-term relationships that have helped us become the company we are today.
